your perception of their performance, good or bad. Always act in
a timely manner. Delay and lack of candor with employees can
both create lawsuits and undermine legal defenses.”

Doris’s tip: “About those claims you get back, requesting
oop reports or other pertinent information….and you swear you
sent it with the claim…You can even see the staple holes on the
HCFA form…Be sure to included the HIC number on any attachment
you may send in with the claim. The HIC number appears in box 1A
on the HCFA 1500 form. When the claim form and attachments are
separated for scanning, they can be reattached only through the
HIC number. No HIC number…the claim will be returned.”
